A Kan 11 poll published Sunday evening found that the merger of Hadash-Ta’al and Balad into the Joint List would boost the Arab parties by one seat.<\/p>\n

Hadash, Ta’al and Balad announced Wednesday that they had reached an agreement to run on a joint slate in the upcoming Knesset election, following lengthy negotiations marked by disagreements over the distribution of seats among the three parties.<\/p>\n

According to the poll, the Joint List<\/a> would win seven Knesset seats, while the United Arab List would win five. The current coalition would fall by one seat to 51, while the bloc led by Gadi Eisenkot would remain unchanged at 57 seats.<\/p>\n

Eisenkot’s Yashar party would remain the largest party with 24 seats, up one from the previous poll, while Likud would fall by one to 23.<\/p>\n

Naftali Bennett’s Together would win 14 seats and the Democrats 10, both unchanged from the previous poll<\/a>. Otzma Yehudit and Yisrael Beiteinu would each lose one seat, leaving both with nine. United Torah Judaism would win eight seats, Shas seven and Religious Zionism five, with the latter gaining one seat.<\/p>\n

Several parties would fail to cross the electoral threshold, including Yoaz Hendel and Chili Tropper’s Zionist Home, with 2.8 percent of the vote; Benny Gantz’s Blue and White, with 1.8 percent; and Gilad Erdan’s Unity, with 1.6 percent. All three also failed to cross the threshold in recent polls.<\/p>\n

The poll was conducted by the Kantar Institute among 552 respondents and has a margin of error of 4.2 percent.<\/p>\n
