Variety<\/a> reports David Hackl (Saw V) is attached to direct Solar Storm, a \u201cneo-noir action thriller\u201d starring Jack Hudson (The Devil\u2019s Train) and Lorena Andrea (Warrior Nun). Based on a script by Joe Rabl, the story is said to \u201cunfold over a single catastrophic day,\u201d and follows Joe (Hudson), \u201can ex-convict fighting to leave his past behind, whose path collides with Jasmine (Andrea), a woman desperate to escape a brutal marriage. When the largest solar storm in recorded history knocks out power, communications and order across the city, blackouts spiral into looting and riots.
