Tau-lowering approaches aim to address the pathology most closely associated with clinical progression, while TREM2 agonists seek to improve the brain\u2019s response to plaques and neuronal injury. What is becoming more evident is that new therapies must act at the right disease stage, reach the right tissue and deliver a clinical benefit that justifies their risks and treatment burden.
