Colin Farrell has made his displeasure known. No amount of fish or colorfully themed umbrellas are getting the Oscar-winner back into Oz Cobb\u2019s heavy prosthetics. But HBO isn\u2019t out of the Penguin business entirely, and would likely get back in once they figure out just how many fish Farrell requires. Per Variety<\/a>, HBO will continue working with the Iceberg Lounge by proxy. HBO is developing a new series called\u00a0Imposter,\u00a0executive produced by Penguin creator Lauren LeFranc and created by Kalos Chu, a relative newcomer, in that he\u2019s a recent Harvard grad whose most prestigious credit is an internship at Lucasfilm. LeFranc, who also worked on Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Chuck, signed an overall deal with the Home Box Office last year. Little is known about the new series aside from HBO\u2019s \u201csignificant interest\u201d in getting it off the market this August. However, Variety reports Imposter \u201cfollows an outsider entering his freshman year at an elite university.\u201d On the one hand, sure, you could describe any incoming freshman as \u201can outsider.\u201d On the other, we have been told by the title of the series that this particular incoming frosh is a bit of an imposter.<\/p>\n

Since LeFranc\u2019s Emmy-winning Batman spin-off wrapped its initial run in 2024, star Colin Farrell has been reluctant to agree to more. Reacting to the thought of getting back into that costume with the \u201cHoly God, what are you showing me?<\/a>\u201d energy of the character, Farrell has repeatedly expressed \u201cno deep desire\u201d<\/a> to return to Gotham. In fact, due to his \u201cnegativity bias,\u201d he would \u201cbet against\u201d<\/a> a season two, but not by a \u201cwide mark.\u201d\u00a0 For her part, LeFranc still hopes the series\u2019 co-lead Sofia (played by Cristin Milioti) \u201clives on in the canon\u201d and \u201ctakes on a life of her own.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Colin Farrell has made his displeasure known.
