The world premiere of Avengers: Doomsday is just over three months away, but that shouldn\u2019t suggest the Joe and Anthony Russo-directed superhero jamboree is done casting. In fact, we learned as recently as mid-August that Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds would be palling around again<\/a> in the increasingly overloaded movie, which will unite the New Avengers, the surviving old Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and 20th Century Fox-era X-Men to fight Robert Downey Jr.\u2019s Doctor Doom.<\/a> And yet\u2014yet!\u2014the film is still adding to its enormous cast.<\/p>\n

According to a Deadline report<\/a>, A Quiet Place and Hamnet star Noah Jupe has joined Doomsday in a \u201csecret\u201d role that is \u201cexpected to play a key part in the story\u201d\u2014whatever that could possibly mean in a movie that has Shang-Chi and Gambit kicking at each other, Mystique shapeshifting into Black Widow, and Pedro Pascal expectorating indignantly all over RDJ\u2019s shiny Doom mask. Perhaps Jupe\u2019s age is a clue. Let\u2019s see: He could be the grown-up Franklin Richards, mutant child of Reed Richards and Sue Storm; Victor Von Doom in flashback (\u201cTeen Doom!\u201d); or perhaps a younger variant of Peter Parker, just to keep Tom Holland from feeling too cozy about his current situation.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

At any rate, Jupe recently co-starred in the West End revival of Romeo & Juliet<\/a> with Spider-Man: Brand New Day actor Sadie Sink, who will return as Jean Grey<\/a> in Marvel\u2019s post-Secret Wars X-Men movie.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One last thought: There is at least one logistical aspect Marvel Studios might not be prepared for with a cast this enormous: Invariably, one of their stars will be left off the Doomsday red-carpet invite list, which could be embarrassing for all parties involved.
