You become the person you’ve been practising to be.

“The first two books looked at what we carry emotionally and why anxiety and other patterns can repeat.

“This book takes that understanding forward and asks a different question: who is actually creating your behaviour and making your everyday decisions?

“It looks at identity, habits, fear, self-doubt, confidence and the small choices we repeatedly make that gradually create the person we become.”

In April, he published ‘The Rucksack You Carry’, which he hoped would introduce a simple concept that many people are quietly carrying far more than they realise.

Rather than viewing anxiety as a weakness, Alan explained it as a natural response from a nervous system that has learned to stay on guard.

By breaking this down in a clear, relatable way, the book helps readers make sense of what’s happening inside both their mind and body.

Then the next month he released the second part named ‘Why Anxiety Repeats’ which explores the repeated emotional and nervous system patterns many people feel trapped inside.

The author confirmed that the books are part of a much wider picture to form The Emotional Regulation Series.

The book is available to purchase now (Image: Supplied)

He added: “The third book the first stage that I have called HEAL, but this isn’t the end of the series.

“The wider plan is add sections SEE and LIVE. It will take the books from understanding and changing what has shaped us, into seeing ourselves and our lives differently, and ultimately applying that to how we choose to live.

“I’m also developing a separate children’s series, The Calm Kids World, taking some of those ideas around emotional understanding, confidence and life skills into stories for younger readers.

“It’s quite a milestone for me personally. When I started writing The Rucksack You Carry, I certainly wasn’t sitting there thinking I was about to build a catalogue of books.

“Now there are three published, another two stages planned, and the children’s series being developed alongside them.

“I reckon there are roughly 1,200 individual decisions involved in taking a book from an idea in your head to a finished book.. So seeing all three sitting together now feels pretty significant.”

Alan has also recently launched his charity Anxiety Aid International after it was officially granted charitable status and entered onto the Scottish Charity Register.

Alan has also launched a charity to break down the stigma associated with anxiety (Image: Supplied)

The clinical hypnotherapist set it up in hopes of bridging a gap through awareness, intervention and resources in response to growing concerns over the increasing number of people experiencing anxiety and emotional wellbeing challenges.

The creation of Anxiety Aid International is intended to work with existing support services and hopes to develop its work across Ayrshire and beyond, providing additional support and education to help people better understand anxiety and improve their wellbeing.

All three of his books are available as an eBook (£2.99) and paperback, with digital copies being distributed internationally.

For more information about the charity or his books, email modernhypnosisbyalan@gmail.com.

Alan Currie has spent decades drawing on experience through working with people across South Ayrshire who live with…

[35
163,85,46,522,523
post-603652","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-mental-health","tag-health","tag-il","tag-israel","tag-mental-health","tag-mentalhealth
["GET
