\n A new \u00a36 million chiropractic clinic in South Wales has officially opened.\n<\/p>\n
\n The clinic, at the University of South Wales’ Treforest campus, was unveiled by Sarah Murphy MS, minister for mental health and wellbeing.\n<\/p>\n
\n The new facility supports USW\u2019s Welsh Institute of Chiropractic and expands the university\u2019s Treforest campus, offering a comprehensive space for chiropractic education and clinical training.\n<\/p>\n
\n Ms Murphy said: “It is a pleasure to open the new Chiropractic Clinic, which will provide state-of-the-art facilities and ensure current and future students receive a high-quality education and serve the community, delivering more than 25,000 patient appointments each year.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The clinic features 26 treatment rooms, seminar spaces, DXA bone density and diagnostic ultrasound equipment, and sustainability features such as solar panels and a Blue-Green roof.\n<\/p>\n
\n Almost 100 students will train at the clinic each year under the supervision of qualified practitioners.\n<\/p>\n
\n Professor David Byfield, head of clinical services at the Welsh institute of Chiropractic, said: “The completion of the new clinic provides the finishing touch to the Chiropractic degree programme at USW, bringing pre-clinical teaching and clinical placement under one roof, enhancing our student\u2019s experience on their path to becoming a health care professional.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A new \u00a36 million chiropractic clinic in South Wales has officially opened.
