\n\tTokyo\u2019s TIFFCOM<\/a> market has unveiled the first wave of its newly rebranded conference program, with Nippon Television Network Corp., Tokyo Broadcasting System Holdings and the Broadcast Program Export Association of Japan (BEAJ) headlining three sessions at the Oct. 28-30 market in Tokyo. <\/p>\n

\n\tVisitor registration is running roughly 20% ahead of where it stood at this point last year.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe market\u2019s long-running seminar series has relaunched under the \u201cConferences\u201d banner for the 2026 edition, covering topics from AI and IP strategy to international co-productions and market trends.<\/p>\n

\n\tNippon TV<\/a>\u2018s session, \u201cNippon TV\u2019s Journey to Becoming a Global Content Powerhouse,\u201d will examine the broadcaster\u2019s approach to co-developing and distributing dramas and entertainment formats internationally, the global reach of its anime and character IP, and fandom-driven business models built around events and licensing. It will also feature a case study of Disney+ series \u201cMerry Berry Love<\/a>,\u201d a Nippon TV\u2013CJ ENM Japan co-production, and a look at AiDi, the broadcaster\u2019s AI-powered video solution, as part of its stated goal of becoming a global IP studio. Speakers include Kazuo Takaya, Nippon TV\u2019s president of global strategy; Ken Akiyama, head of Gyokuro Studio; and Shinji Enari, executive vice president of content business, alongside Gi Young Choi, CEO of CJ ENM Japan.<\/p>\n

\n\tTokyo Broadcasting System Holdings will cover its global expansion in a session detailing its tie-up with Hollywood\u2019s Legendary Entertainment and the formation of StudioMonowa, a venture co-established with South Korea\u2019s CJ ENM and U-Next Holdings. The session will also examine \u201cKasso,\u201d a show described as a skateboarding take on \u201cSasuke,\u201d and the worldwide rollout of \u201cSasuke\/Ninja Warrior,\u201d which has made a return in Australia and Vietnam and includes a formal arrangement with UIPM for obstacle racing \u2013 newly added to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics \u2013 alongside gaming adaptations. Katsuaki Setoguchi, executive officer of TBS Holdings\u2019 global business division, and Shinya Watanabe, president of the same division, will present, with TBS Television anchor Maoko Hibi serving as MC.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe BEAJ-organized special session, \u201cJapan\u2019s IP Frontier 2026: Beyond Broadcasting,\u201d will spotlight regional broadcasters pushing their IP beyond traditional media. Fuji Television will present its plans to take variety hit \u201cRun for Money\u201d into a VR location-based entertainment business; San-in Chuo Television will discuss its self-funded \u201cDopamine Project\u201d; and Hokkaido Television Broadcasting will introduce its \u201cLocal Content Bank,\u201d launched a year ago. Additional speakers are to be announced. Confirmed panelists include Ryohei Aoki of Fuji Television, Yu Kawanaka of San-in Chuo Television Broadcasting and Yuki Akutsu of Hokkaido Television Broadcasting, with BEAJ executive director Aki Harazono moderating.<\/p>\n
