Those of you who spend your days entirely immersed within the world of anti-crypto documentaries might not know this, but Everyone Is Lying To You For Money<\/a>\u00a0writer-director Ben McKenzie actually used to dabble in acting a bit. (Which is to say, he\u2019s spent roughly a third of his 47 years on this planet with a primetime network TV show running somewhere on the schedule.) And while nobody is out here screaming for a Gotham\u00a0reunion (yet), McKenzie has heard your fan murmurings about a revival of\u00a0The O.C., the show that made him famous, and, hey, sure: He\u2019s game to give it a try.<\/p>\n

This is per\u00a0Deadline<\/a>, reporting on a radio interview<\/a> McKenzie was giving this week to promote his documentary (which, among other things, involved the hosts having to guess who he was from his voice before getting to the actual interview\u2014not an ordeal we assume most documentarians have to weather). Although clearly there to promote the actual project he\u2019s spent the last several years of his life on, McKenzie was also perfectly game to talk about the Ryan Atwood of it all, confirming that, while \u201cI don\u2019t know that there has ever been serious talks,\u201d about getting the old Cohen crew back together, \u201cI\u2019d be up for it, sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUnder the right circumstances,\u201d McKenzie then quickly added. \u201cIt was a great show. We had a great time. I learned a lot. I was so young, we were all young.\u201d (Later, while signing off\u2014and after declaring a definitive \u201cbullshit\u201d verdict on crypto\u2014McKenzie gave a joking \u201cLet\u2019s make it happen\u201d to the\u00a0revival demands.)\u00a0<\/p>\n

Modern pop culture journalism being what it is, pretty much every cast member of The O.C.\u00a0has been asked these questions semi-incessantly for the last decade, with most of them sharing McKenzie\u2019s \u201cNobody wants to make waves\u201d willingness to say \u201cSure!\u201d in a distinctly non-committal fashion.
