This year’s 41st issue of Shueisha<\/a>‘s Weekly Shonen Jump<\/a> magazine revealed on Monday the October 3 debut date for the second<\/a> anime season based on Y\u016bki Tabata<\/a>‘s Black Clover<\/a> manga.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The anime will air on TV Tokyo<\/a> and its affiliates starting on October 3 at 11:00 p.m. The anime will stream in Japan on Anime Times<\/a>, Lemino<\/a>, U-NEXT<\/a>, and Anime H\u014ddai<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The magazine also revealed that ONE OR EIGHT<\/a> will perform the ending theme song “Yellow Brick Road.”<\/p>\n

Crunchyroll<\/a> will preview<\/a> the anime as part of its Crunchyroll Anime Nights program in theaters in the U.S. on September 21, and will then stream the anime as it airs.<\/p>\n

WANIMA<\/a> performs the opening theme song “Kienai Riy\u016b” (The Reason that Won’t Disappear).\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ayataka Tanemura<\/a>, the director of episodes 153-170 of the first Black Clover anime and the film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King<\/a>, will direct the second season. Studio Pierrot<\/a> will return to animate the new season.<\/p>\n

The Black Clover anime last aired<\/a> in March 2021 with its 170th episode.<\/p>\n

The anime premiered in Japan in October 2017. The show was originally listed<\/a> with 51 episodes, but it continued<\/a> into a new season with episode 52 in October 2018, and continued on again into a new season in October 2019. Crunchyroll streamed<\/a> the series in Japanese with English subtitles, and Funimation<\/a> streamed<\/a> the show’s English dub. The anime debuted<\/a> on Adult Swim<\/a>‘s Toonami<\/a> programming block in December 2017.<\/p>\n

The Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King (Black Clover: Mah\u043e\u0304tei no Ken) anime film<\/a> opened in Japan and debuted on Netflix<\/a> worldwide in June 2023.<\/p>\n

Tabata launched<\/a> Black Clover in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2015. The manga moved<\/a> to the quarterly Jump Giga<\/a> magazine in 2023. Viz Media<\/a> is publishing the manga digitally and in print, and Shueisha’s MANGA Plus<\/a> service is also publishing the manga digitally.<\/p>\n
