{"id":609111,"date":"2026-09-08T00:48:08","date_gmt":"2026-09-08T00:48:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/609111\/"},"modified":"2026-09-08T00:48:08","modified_gmt":"2026-09-08T00:48:08","slug":"syrias-shaibani-says-country-still-committed-to-diplomatic-solution-with-israel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/609111\/","title":{"rendered":"Syria&#8217;s Shaibani says country still committed to diplomatic solution with Israel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Shaibani made his comments during a meeting of Arab foreign ministers at the 166th ministerial session of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/tags\/arab-league\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Arab League<\/a> in Cairo, SANA reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">\u201cWe remain committed to the option of a diplomatic solution and are working hard to achieve it, while working to end Israeli attacks, arrests, and incursions,\u201d Shaibani said.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, SANA also reported that Shaibani called for the government to have exclusive control of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/middle-east\/article-906412\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">weaponry<\/a> in order to aid in the country&#8217;s security.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">\u201cExclusive control of arms is a deterrent decision and an absolute sovereign right of the state, so that we can protect all Syrians and build together,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He also reaffirmed Syria&#8217;s solidarity with Gulf Arab states and Jordan since the start of the ongoing war against Iran, several of which have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/middle-east\/article-907279\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">come under fire in Iranian attacks<\/a>.
