Later today, she\u2019s sharing its lead single, \u201cLucky (Hymn),\u201d a track about coming into your own, as well as an Austen Taylor Pease-directed video that was filmed in one unbroken take.<\/p>\n<p>Swallow! was written during a coming-of-age moment in Shygirl\u2019s life, during which she fell in love, learned more about herself and her impulses, and uncorked a deeper type of appreciation for what surrounds her. \u201cShygirl calls Swallow! a reintroduction,\u201d reads a press release. \u201cDuring sporadic, unhurried sessions, Karma Kid made everything maximalist, while Casey MQ fine-tuned the delicate moments. Shygirl realized she didn\u2019t need to leave her electronic roots behind to find something new.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been four years since Shygirl dropped her debut album, <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/reviews\/albums\/shygirl-nymph\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nymph<\/a>, and her life has been a bit of a whirlwind ever since.
