India is hosting the Brics summit against the backdrop of the conflict involving Israel, Iran and other actors in the region. Iran is a member of Brics, and Modi held talks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in New Delhi Friday.India has also expanded its strategic partnership with Israel in defence, technology, agriculture and innovation.
