The statement responded to comments made on Friday by Kushner during a remote appearance at the Yalta European Security Conference. The remarks were publicized on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Kushner said Washington used the diplomatic fallout from Israel\u2019s September 2025 strike on Hamas officials in Doha\u2014which he called \u201ca terrible thing\u201d and an unsuccessful military operation\u2014to press Israel into accepting the Gaza ceasefire and hostage-release agreement.
