The IDF<\/a> continued its counterterrorism operations across the Gaza Strip on Monday with five targeted strikes on Hamas<\/a> terrorists.\u00a0<\/p>\n

At least four terrorists serving in command and force-building positions were killed throughout the day, with one top commander from Hamas\u2019s Gaza City Brigade, a unit within the al-Qassam Brigades, killed in an overnight strike.<\/p>\n

According to an N12 report, the commander, named Ahmed al-Batech Abu Osama, was killed in a strike on his vehicle.<\/p>\n

Another terrorist was hiding inside a tent in Khan Yunis, whose southern half is currently under IDF control.<\/p>\n

The IDF and Shin Bet<\/a> (Israel Security Agency) struck targets in Deir al-Balah, Daraj al-Tuffah, and Gaza City near Shifa Hospital, where the IDF had carried out an operation on a weapons storage facility last week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

All of the strikes were directed based on intelligence from the Shin Bet and Military Intelligence Directorate, according to a military source.<\/p>\n

The IDF and Shin Bet have intensified counterterrorism operations against Hamas terrorists in Gaza in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

Among other targets have been officials involved in rebuilding the terror group and restoring its military capabilities in Gaza.<\/p>\n

The Shin Bet\u2019s Nili unit, established in 2023 with the goal of tracking and killing Hamas members who participated in the October 7 Massacre<\/a>, has also been working on locating terrorists involved in the attack.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Security forces are also focusing on damaging Hamas\u2019s ability to acquire weapons.
