\n\tNoah Kahan<\/a> joined the 2026 Emmy Awards<\/a> telecast.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe singer-songwriter performed a rendition of Simon & Garfunkel\u2019s \u201cBridge over Troubled Water\u201d during the in memoriam segment. Macaulay Culkin, Annie Murphy and Dan Levy introduced the segment<\/a> following a tribute to their on screen mother, the late Catherine O\u2019Hara.<\/p>\n

\n\tKahan is in the midst of a record-breaking year. The 29-year-old earned his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last month. One of the most hotly anticipated albums of 2026, The Great Divide, had the third-biggest week for an album this year when it was released.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Great Divide serves as the follow-up<\/a> to Kahan\u2019s breakthrough hit album, Stick Season, which helped transform the Vermont native from a club act to a stadium headliner. The singer announced the album in late January and dropped the music<\/a> video for its first single, the titular track, during a commercial break at the 2026 Grammy Awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tLess than 24 hours after the release of the 17-track album, Kahan surprise-dropped an extended version<\/a>, The Great Divide: The Last of the Bugs. The expanded version of the album featured four new tracks \u2014 \u201cLighthouse,\u201d \u201cStaying Still,\u201d \u201cA Few of Our Own\u201d and \u201cOrbiter\u201d \u2014 bringing the final number of tracks up to 21.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe singer\u2019s recently wrapped his sold-out Great Divide tour. He performed at several stadiums across the country including Pasadena\u2019s Rose Bowl stadium and a historic four-night run at Boston\u2019s Fenway Park, where was inducted into the ballpark\u2019s artist hall of fame.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 2026 Emmy Awards<\/a> took place Monday, Sept. 14 at the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles. Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay hosted the ceremony, which had a star-studded cast of characters from some of TV\u2019s biggest shows including The Pitt, Pluribus, Widow\u2019s Bay, Beef and more.<\/p>\n
