Ms. Rachel<\/a> is following Macklemore<\/a>‘s lead.<\/p>\n

After the rapper, 43, donated all of his net earnings from Ed Sheeran<\/a>‘s Loop Tour to organizations helping Palestinians in need, the children’s YouTuber matched it.<\/p>\n

Macklemore (real name: Benjamin Hammond Haggert) announced on Wednesday, September 16, via Instagram<\/a> that he would donate $1 million to multiple organizations after being dropped from the tour following statements he made during the “Shape of You” singer’s New Jersey concerts \u2014 including “Free Palestine.”<\/p>\n

Ms. Rachel (real name: Rachel Griffin-Accurso), who has been publicly supportive<\/a> of Macklemore, said in an Instagram<\/a> post shared Thursday, September 17, that she would “match” his donation.<\/p>\n

“I invite every wealthy white celebrity to match it and speak out<\/a> against the genocide in Gaza,” the famed YouTube personality, 43, added.<\/p>\n

“Over 20,000 precious Palestinian children have been killed and children continue to be killed every day,” Ms. Rachel said. “We have a moral obligation to use our privilege and platforms to protect children and human rights.”<\/p>\n

In the caption of her post, she added that she and her husband, Aron Accurso<\/a>, “will be donating the million to [Palestine Children’s Relief Fund], an amazing organization that I am an ambassador for.”<\/p>\n

As In Touch<\/a> previously reported<\/a>, Macklemore said earlier this week that Sheeran, 35, told him New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft<\/a> objected to his scheduled appearances at Gillette Stadium and that other stadium owners had presented an ultimatum that threatened the remaining tour dates.<\/p>\n

Kraft, 85, confirmed to TMZ<\/a> that he opposed Macklemore performing at Gillette Stadium.<\/p>\n

In Macklemore’s statement, he invited Kraft<\/a> to “match my donation,” adding that despite their disagreements, “perhaps” they can agree that “Palestinian lives are worth protecting.”<\/p>\n

In a statement released on social media<\/a>, Kraft claimed that Sheeran asked him to match his own $2 million donation to “aid in the region to fight this humanitarian crisis” before Macklemore’s invitation.<\/p>\n

“Ed now plans to reach out to other venue owners and our goal is to continue to work together to build bridges<\/a>,” Kraft said.<\/p>\n

“In addition,” the statement continued, “I’d like the people who are speaking in support of the Palestinian people to know that for decades, I have supported efforts that create opportunity for Palestinians and have brought young Palestinians and Israelis together to build businesses, create jobs, and forge relationships.”<\/p>\n
