REMOW<\/a> revealed on Saturday more cast and the October 2 debut for the Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc<\/a> television anime<\/a> based on Yura Urushibara<\/a>‘s Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise<\/a> manga. REMOW also revealed a new visual and a new promotional video.<\/p>\n

REMOW also revealed the anime’s theme songs. Hiromitsu Kitayama<\/a> performs the opening theme song “Backlash,” and TRACK15<\/a> performs the ending theme song “Hand in Hand.”<\/p>\n

Two special recap episodes will air on September 30 for the Kyoto arc and on October 1 for the Nerima arc before the new anime’s October 2 debut. The anime will debut on streaming services outside Japan on October 2 at 25:00 JST (effectively October 3 at 1:00 a.m.). REMOW describes the new arc:<\/p>\n

Having survived the fierce battles in Kyoto and Nerima, Shiki and his fellow students at Rasetsu Academy are steadily growing stronger. But Yaoroshi rejects Mudano’s lessons on the importance of friendship. Drawn to Oni Brigade General Hayate Todoroki’s call for \u201cthe total eradication of the Momotaro,\u201d he leaves the academy.<\/p>\n

When Shiki realizes that the Oni Brigade’s creed makes even noncombatants targets for slaughter, he sets out after Yaoroshi with Mudano and the other students.<\/p>\n

Their destination is Nikko, where Kegon Falls stopped flowing some time ago, and a massive research facility has since been built. Within its walls, horrific experiments are underway…<\/p>\n

The Tougen Anki<\/a> anime debuted in July 2025. The “Nerima Arc” began<\/a> in October 2025.<\/p>\n

On Prime Video, the series is available worldwide except in Japan and Mainland China, and on Netflix the series is available worldwide outside of Japan. Crunchyroll is also releasing<\/a> an English dub for the series.<\/p>\n

The anime also has a mini companion anime titled Onimomomomo. The staff released the episodes weekly alongside the main episodes.<\/p>\n

Ato Nonaka<\/a> is directing the anime at Studio Hibari<\/a>. Hiroyuki Hashimoto<\/a> is the assistant director. Yukie Sugawara<\/a> (The Idolm@ster SideM<\/a>, No Guns Life<\/a>, The Unwanted Undead Adventurer<\/a>) is writing and supervising the anime’s scripts. Ryoko Amisaki<\/a> (Kino’s Journey – The Beautiful World<\/a>) is designing the characters. Hiroyuki Becchaku<\/a> is the art designer, while Scott MacDonald<\/a> is directing the art. Saki Tada<\/a> is the color key artist. Naoki Serizawa<\/a> is the compositing director of photography. Ryota Fukushima<\/a> is directing the CG. Yumika Okazaki<\/a> is editing. Satoki Iida<\/a> is directing the sound, and Kohta Yamamoto<\/a> is composing the music. Pony Canyon<\/a> is credited for the music production.<\/p>\n

Urushibara launched the manga in Akita Publishing<\/a>‘s Weekly Sh\u014dnen Champion<\/a> magazine in June 2020. The 30th compiled book volume shipped on July 8. Yen Press<\/a> began publishing<\/a> the manga in English in September 2024. It shipped the fifth volume on May 26.<\/p>\n

The manga previously inspired<\/a> a stage play that ran Tokyo and Osaka in February 2024, and a sequel stage play ran in January 2025.<\/p>\n
