{"id":622336,"date":"2026-09-20T23:52:15","date_gmt":"2026-09-20T23:52:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/622336\/"},"modified":"2026-09-20T23:52:15","modified_gmt":"2026-09-20T23:52:15","slug":"israel-army-says-arrested-suspected-west-bank-assailant-at-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/622336\/","title":{"rendered":"Israel army says arrested suspected West Bank assailant at hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Israel\u2019s military said on Sunday it had arrested a man suspected of killing an Israeli, reported to be a settler, in the occupied West Bank.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIDF soldiers apprehended the terrorist who carried out the shooting attack,\u201d the army said in a statement, adding that it located him at a hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The army said a soldier had earlier shot and wounded the suspected assailant at the scene of the incident near Ramallah in the central West Bank.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had vowed to hunt down the man suspected of the \u201cmurderous attack\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A local hospital confirmed the death of the Israeli.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Israel Ganz, head of the Yesha Council \u2014 an organisation representing Israeli settlements in the West Bank \u2014 said the man was a settler.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Israel has occupied the West Bank since 1967.
