\n\tJhen\u00e9 Aiko has scored her first No. 1 album<\/a> on the Billboard 200<\/a> with her fourth record \u201cWestside Whimsy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAiko bows atop the chart with 74,000 equivalent album units, making it the first R&B album by a woman to top the Billboard 200<\/a> this year and the first to reach No. 1 since SZA\u2019s \u201cSOS\u201d in May 2025. This year, the only other R&B album to hit No. 1 was Bruno Mars\u2019 \u201cThe Romantic.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWestside Whimsy,\u201d which touts features from Kendrick Lamar, Tyga and Larry June, arrived without much notice after Aiko announced the project less than a week before its release. It marks her sixth album to hit the Billboard 200, dating back to her first entry, \u201cSail Out,\u201d in 2013. She last released her third album \u201cChilombo\u201d in 2020, which debuted at No. 2 and earned three Grammy nominations including album of the year, best progressive R&B album and best R&B performance for \u201cLightning & Thunder.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAiko\u2019s latest is the only album this week to debut in the Billboard 200 top 10. Ella Langley, who is expected to achieve the longest-running No. 1 on the Hot 100 tomorrow with \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas,\u201d falls to No. 2 with \u201cDandelion,\u201d moving roughly 60,000 equivalent album units. Olivia Rodrigo\u2019s \u201cYou Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love\u201d comes in at No. 3, followed by Morgan Wallen\u2019s \u201cI\u2019m the Problem\u201d at No. 4 and Noah Kahan\u2019s \u201cThe Great Divide\u201d at No. 5.<\/p>\n
