Cross-boundary talent flows within the Hetao innovation hub will be launched by June next year at the latest, Hong Kong\u2019s technology minister has said, after the city\u2019s leader pledged to enable the free movement of data by the end of this year.<\/p>\n
Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry Sun Dong revealed the deadline while also discussing how semiconductor production, which is due to begin at the Hong Kong Microelectronics Research and Development Institute (MRDI) this year, could yield scientific results and pave the way for mass production in the Greater Bay Area<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe hope to launch a pilot scheme for data flows as soon as possible.
