\n\tHalle Bailey<\/a> is finally set to release her debut solo album. The musician revealed Wednesday that her long-awaited LP, Love? Or Something Like It, will arrive Oct. 24.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tBailey announced the news with a short teaser clip on Instagram that showed her decked out in an elaborate red dress and looking dreamily at the camera. Over swooning orchestral instrumentation, Bailey introduced the story of the album by saying: \u201cOnce upon a time, there was a young girl that believed in love. She believed everyone belonged to someone, soul for soul. All she ever wanted in life was to find the truest form of love. Was it ever possible? And here\u2019s what happened.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn an accompanying caption, Bailey described Love? Or Something Like It as \u201ca story of first love, heartbreak, and everything that comes after.\u201d She added: \u201cThis one means everything to me.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tBailey has yet to share a full track list for the record, though she has dropped two singles this year, \u201cBack and Forth\u201d and \u201cBraveface.\u201d It\u2019s also unclear if the album will feature any of the other solo songs Bailey has released over the past few years, like last year\u2019s \u201cBecause I Love You\u201d and \u201cIn Your Hands,\u201d <\/a>as well as her Grammy-nominated 2023 debut solo single \u201cAngel.\u201d\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n \t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n \n\tPrior to going solo, Bailey and her sister Chloe released two albums as Chloe x Halle<\/a>: 2018\u2019s The Kids Are Alright and 2020\u2019s Ungodly Hour. And while Bailey has been working on her solo debut<\/a> for several years, she was also busy with several major film projects. In 2023, she starred as Ariel in the live-action remake<\/a> of The Little Mermaid<\/a>, while she also appeared in the coming-of-age drama The Line and Blitz Bazawule\u2019s adaptation of The Color Purple musical<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tShe was also supposed to appear<\/a> in Pharrell and Michel Gondry\u2019s ambitious musical project Atlantis, but the pair decided to shelve project indefinitely<\/a> while editing.
