PULL UP A PEW: Anyone looking for interior design inspiration needed to look no further than Drew Henry’s set for his debut Courr\u00e8ges show, in particular the seating, with row upon row of vintage chairs from different styles and eras.<\/p>\n
“It’s like a really chic, high-end Hackney flea market, it’s gorgeous,” said Ellis Howard, who recently finished filming “The Rachel Incident” and was attending the show with “What It Feels Like for a Girl” costar Hannah Jones.<\/p>\n

The eclecticism of the show space tied in with ongoing design dilemmas for the British actor, who was nominated for a BAFTA earlier this year. “I was very midcentury in my flat, but I’ve just moved in with my boyfriend, who is totally John Pawson minimalist obsessed, so we’re having that battle right now,” he confided.<\/p>\n
Ziwe, a self-confessed lover of color, had her eye on a plush green design. “It’s very festive, with lots of burnt orange and velvet,” said the comedian and commentator of her own home’s design.<\/p>\n
Soo Joo Park was taking tips. “I’m in the middle of renovating, so I’ve been noticing all the different kinds of chairs,” said the model and musician. “I have a place that’s midcentury, it’s kind of Palm Springs vibes, but I’m also really inspired by midcentury Italian furniture and architecture, so I was taking references from Villa Necchi, from Portaluppi and kind of mixing it with Japanese aesthetic modernism, L.A., Lautner vibes. It’s very like me, I’m very multi-culti, so that’s like my house as well,” she said.<\/p>\n
“This one I’m sitting on looks very Germanic and quite harsh, I don’t know if that reflects my character,” said British actress and screenwriter Julia Davis, perhaps best known for her role in “Gavin & Stacey,” of her allocated seat in brushed metal. Attending her first fashion week, she was feeling “kind of overwhelmed,” she said. The heterogenous set was right up her street though. “My design style in my home is quite eclectic: I’ve got purple stuff, antique bits, vintage stuff, lots of greens and reds, dark reds and things,” said Davis, who is currently writing a new series and working on her debut novel.<\/p>\n
