On Friday, a light aircraft crashed near the town of Kafr Kara in northern Israel, close to Highway 65. The Jerusalem Post<\/a> reported this, citing Israel\u2019s Magen David Adom emergency medical service.<\/p>\n

Condition of the injured<\/p>\n

Medics and paramedics at the scene were providing assistance to one injured person who was conscious. Their condition was assessed as moderate. The service also reported another injured person who remained trapped. At the time of the report, rescuers were carrying out work to free them.<\/p>\n

Emergency services response<\/p>\n

Israeli police closed Highway 65 to traffic. Israel\u2019s fire and rescue service reported that firefighters from the station in Hadera had arrived at the scene. They were extinguishing a fire that had broken out and was spreading. At the time of the Jerusalem Post\u2019s publication, the situation remained developing.<\/p>\n
