{"id":634602,"date":"2026-10-02T21:42:10","date_gmt":"2026-10-02T21:42:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/634602\/"},"modified":"2026-10-02T21:42:10","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T21:42:10","slug":"uk-police-arrest-two-iranians-over-alleged-terrorist-plot-against-jews","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/634602\/","title":{"rendered":"UK police arrest two Iranians over alleged terrorist plot against Jews"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>British police said on Friday that they had charged two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/international\/article-910226\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Iranian<\/a> nationals with preparing a terrorist attack against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/diaspora\/antisemitism\/article-910137\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the Jewish community<\/a> in northern England on the eve of Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.<\/p>\n<p>Rahman Salehi, 35, and Salam Ahmadyan, 36, have been charged with preparing to commit an act of terrorism or assisting another to commit an act of terrorism on Friday, the anniversary of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/diaspora\/antisemitism\/article-909722\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">fatal attack<\/a> on a Manchester synagogue last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The two men had allegedly been in contact with an overseas third party who might be in Iran in relation to the plot, police said.
