The iQOO 16<\/a> became official<\/a> in China earlier this week. Now if you’ve been wondering whether it will be available in India, a tipster over on X today tells us that it’s a real possibility, as the phone has allegedly started some testing procedures in the country.<\/p>\n

So it’s pretty likely that it will launch in India in the coming weeks. However, the big question is how much it will end up costing. Over in China, it starts at CNY 5,999, which is about INR 86,000 or $894.<\/p>\n

The aforementioned tipster claims it could actually be priced closer to INR 100,000 ($1,039), which would definitely make it a tough sell, especially seeing as how its predecessor<\/a> started at INR 72,999 ($759) just one year ago. It’s not like the iQOO 16 is lacking in the specs department, though.<\/p>\n

It has a 6.85-inch Samsung-made M16 AMOLED display with 1440×3168 resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and 10,000-nit peak brightness, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, 12\/16GB of RAM, 256GB\/512GB\/1TB of storage, a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom, a 50MP ultrawide with autofocus, a 32MP selfie camera, and an 8,400 mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 40W wireless charging. It runs Android 17 with OriginOS 7 on top.<\/p>\n
