Mike Ashley doesn\u2019t take being told no lightly. The British billionaire behind the Frasers retailing empire owns almost a quarter of Australian footwear business Accent, and has been busy all year trying to take it private.<\/p>\n

So far, no luck. Once friends and partners, Frasers and Accent have become increasingly hostile toward one another<\/a>, culminating in a public attack on the ASX-listed retailer behind The Athlete\u2019s Foot and Platypus in August, with demands for chairman Lawrence Myer to show himself the door.<\/p>\n
