Marvel Studios returns to New York Comic-Con (NYCC) 2026 with a highly anticipated panel that is set to showcase game-changing reveals about the MCU’s upcoming slate. In 2025, Marvel used NYCC to unveil special looks at their future slate, including a look at the black symbiote in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2, and to bring Krysten Ritter on stage alongside Charlie Cox to confirm Jessica Jones’ appearance in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Brad Winderbaum, Head of Marvel Television, Animation, Comics & Franchise at Marvel Studios, also unveiled news about X-Men ’97 Season 3’s renewal and closed the panel with footage from Wonder Man and VisionQuest.

While the MCU is heading into its Multiversal endgame in Avengers: Doomsday later this year, there are still Disney+ projects on the docket that could reshape the franchise’s future, such as Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2, Marvel Zombies Season 2, and X-Men ’97 Season 3, and these shows are expected to be pushed to the forefront in Marvel’s 2026 NYCC panel.

October 8 is a great day to be an MCU fan, with a wave of announcements expected to emerge online soon. Marvel Studios is set to officially start its “Up Next From Marvel Television and Marvel Animation” panel at New York Comic-Con 2026 at 4:15 p.m. ET, promising “an inside look at Marvel Television and Marvel Animation’s most anticipated upcoming series on Disney+.”

Marvel Studios Updates From NYCC 2026 Panel (Live) "New

The Direct

Marvel Studios’ 2026 NYCC panel began with a sizzle reel that recapped many of the shows from the Marvel universe, including familiar footage from WandaVision, Loki, She-Hulk, Ironheart, Secret Invasion, VisionQuest, and a quick glimpse at the first footage of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, showcasing an action sequence of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock fighting in his prison jumpsuit. There is also footage of epic moments from the TV shows, then fading them into the comic art that inspired them.

Marvel Television’s Zodiac "Zodiac

Marvel Television

Marvel Television kicked off the panel with the announcement of Zodiac, a new spy thriller set to release on Disney+ in 2028. Production is set to start next year. It’s worth noting that the title had already circulated as a working name for a project in development when news broke that Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 would be the final season.

Zodiac’s logo is quite interesting, as the front mark closely echoes the original SHIELD insignia, suggesting the resemblance is intentional. This could serve as a visual hint that the organization could be back at the center of a Marvel spy story while also offering clues about the real canon status of Agents of SHIELD.

Marvel Zombies

Brad Winderbaum, Head of Marvel Television, Animation, Comics & Franchise at Marvel Studios, also announced three new Marvel Zombies follow-ups, with two-part specials coming each year for the next three years.

Halloween 2027 marks the debut of Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier, a story presumably centered on Bucky Barnes, set in the Marvel Zombies universe. The special picks up a thread left dangling in What If…? Season 1. In that installment, Zombie Wanda Maximoff hurled Bucky clear of the fight, and the episode never confirmed whether he survived the throw. Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier is positioned as the continuation of that story, turning an unresolved exit into its own chapter.

In Halloween 2028, Marvel Zombies: The Fist of Khonshu takes center stage on Disney+. Not many details about the two-part special have been revealed, but this installment is set to focus on Danny Rand’s adventures during the zombie outbreak. This could also open the floodgates for other Defenders to appear.

Marvel Zombies: The Last Guardian, set to premiere in 2029, is expected to focus on a surviving member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, but story details about the two-part series are still shrouded in secrecy.

Marvel Television also unveiled exclusive footage from X-Men ’97 Season 3 to attendees, showcasing the new status quo of this universe following Apocalypse’s defeat.

The clip showed someone writing, “Where are the X-Men?,” in graffiti. The footage then showed that the city has descended into chaos, as police have blocked off the city and closed the border, meaning the mutants can’t get across to Professor Xavier’s school and have no place to stay unless they have letters of transit.

A young mutant started to sneak across, but was ultimately saved by Mystique and the Brotherhood of Mutants from a Sentinel. The exclusive footage also showed Storm and Professor X driving together, discussing the conflict they’re facing with President Creed. They exited the car and arrived at Gambit and Rogue’s wedding. Among the attendees shown in the clip are Deadpool, She-Hulk, Matt Murdock, and Squirrel Girl.

Marvel Television

The next one on the docket is Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2, which is confirmed to release on January 13, 2027 on Disney+.

Showrunner Jeff Trammell opened the panel by emphasizing that Season 1 is “setting the board” while Season 2 is “playing the game.” He also confirmed that Otto Octavious and Scorpion are both returning, while making it clear that Peter is not walking into this season at the same level he left off at last season.

“Peter’s gonna have to level up a bit [and] he might need some help [maybe from an] inky black goo from space.”

The footage opened at a fancy science event hosted by Otto, where Eddie Brock was trying to land a Daily Bugle interview with Harry Osborn. Nico shut it down on Harry’s behalf. The reception did not stay civil: Otto turned on Harry, and Spider-Man swung in as the fight spilled onto the outside of the building. This led to a chase between Doc Ock and Spider-Man, with Harry being caught in one of Octavius’s tentacles.

A tear in Spider-Man’s suit stitched itself as it closed on its own. Doc Ock then dropped Harry down the side of a skyscraper, and Spider-Man made the save. The footage closed with quick glimpses of the upcoming season, featuring Gwen Stacy, Daredevil, and Shocker. The last image showed Spider-Man in the black suit, fully overtaken and going full Venom.

Marvel Television unleashed most of the Defenders onstage at New York Comic-Con 2026 for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3. The panel featured Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, and Finn Jones. Mike Colter wasn’t able to attend.

Marvel reiterated that Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is the final season, drawing boos from attendees. Still, Cox is hopeful that “the ‘Save Daredevil’ campaign will be gearing up for Round 2.”

Cox also opened up about getting the Defenders back together for the final season, saying “it was like 2016 all over again:”

“The first time we were all back together again, it was like 2016 all over again. We wish Mike could be here!”

The exclusive footage shown to attendees included a clip of Jessica Jones and Danny Rand meeting in an office and collecting police badges. The footage then shifted inside the prison, showing Matt Murdock moving through the block while the other inmates walked around as if he owned the place. Matt tore the jumpsuit open at the chest, fashioned the fabric into a Daredevil mask, and fought his way through the prison.

VisionQuest "VisionQuest."

Marvel Television

VisionQuest closed Marvel Television’s panel with a surprise screening of Episode 1 to attendees. Showrunner Terry Matalas, Paul Bettany, Ruaridh Mollica, James Spader, and Emily Hampshire were all in attendance.

Bettany reflected on how the show is a story “about fathers and sons, but one with a robot and a human son:”

“I’ve been hanging out with Terry, trying to figure out how we can tell a Super Hero story about fathers and sons but one with a robot and a human son. Terry suggested we get the band back together and call Spader up, and that’s when I knew we had a show.”

Matalas also teased that “almost” all of the questions from the WandaVision trilogy will be answered in VisionQuest:

Brandon Davis: What kinds of questions are you answering to conclude the WandaVision trilogy?

Terry Matalas: “All of them. Well, almost all of them.”

The exclusive trailer shown to attendees showed a clip of Vision and Ultron having to pass a prove-you’re-not-a-robot captcha test to seemingly enter a facility. It also unveiled footage of Tommy reflecting on the hole Wanda left behind, saying, “I have these memories of someone I know. He wasn’t human, but he called me son.”

Marvel Studios returns to New York Comic-Con (NYCC) 2026 with a highly anticipated panel that is set to…

[27
9031,288764,50052,4550,146,9541,85,46,11447,220131,26819,397,49454,15628,21128,235803
post-640641","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-movies","tag-animation","tag-brad-winderbaum","tag-comic-con","tag-disney","tag-entertainment","tag-horror","tag-il","tag-israel","tag-marvel-studios","tag-marvel-studios-animation","tag-marvel-zombies","tag-movies","tag-nycc","tag-sci-fi","tag-vision","tag-your-friendly-neighborhood-spider-man
["GET
