\n\tSophia is currently on a break from KATSEYE<\/a> \u2014 but she already knows when she\u2019ll be back.<\/p>\n

\n\tHYBE x Geffen announced Thursday (Oct. 8) that the singer will resume group activities with KATSEYE during the first week of January 2027, therefore providing fans with a concrete timeline for her return after she stepped away from the group earlier this year.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSophia has been prioritizing her health and well-being with our full support and resources,\u201d the company said in a statement posted to Weverse<\/a>. She will not participate in KATSEYE\u2019s North American WILDWORLD tour dates or promotional activities for the remainder of 2026. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe look forward to welcoming her back as KATSEYE continues this next chapter together in 2027,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cWe are incredibly grateful to EYEKONS for the continued love, support, and understanding you\u2019ve shown Sophia and KATSEYE. Thank you for standing by her, and we look forward to celebrating her return with you in the new year.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSophia also shared an update with EYEKONS on her Instagram Story, opening up about the time she has spent away from the group and the work she has been doing to take care of herself.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt hasn\u2019t been easy,\u201d she wrote. \u201cBut I have been putting in the work by receiving the care I need, learning the tools to better support myself, and doing everything I can to nurture my well-being.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSophia said she plans to continue training during her break, acknowledging that while she wishes she could \u201csimply push through,\u201d she has come to understand that \u201csometimes having the courage to take a step back is what allows you to move forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHer goal, she said, is to return \u201chappier, healthier, stronger, more grounded\u201d and ready to perform again.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI can\u2019t wait to share the stage with my sisters again and look out to all of you!\u201d Sophia wrote before asking EYEKONS to continue supporting her bandmates in her absence. \u201cPlease continue to support and cheer on my girls!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSophia first announced her hiatus from KATSEYE in August, when HYBE x Geffen said she would be taking personal time away in order to focus on her health. At the time, the company said she would be taking an extended period of rest and that her condition would be reassessed. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to Sophia\u2019s hiatus, fellow member Manon Bannerman also has been on a break since February, though no update has been provided on her future participation with the group.<\/p>\n

\n\tThough Sophia and Manon have been away, KATSEYE has been collecting milestone after milestone. In August, the girl group scored its first No. 1 on the Billboard 200<\/a> with its third EP, WILD. The following month, the group kicked off its WILDWORLD tour in Europe and the U.K., and is set to begin the North American run next week in Miami. The trek will hit cities including Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles before wrapping in Mexico City on Nov. 27.<\/p>\n
