Right on the touristy Promenade des Anglais, the Villa Mass\u00e9na houses imperial artifacts\u2014including Napoleon\u2019s death mask and Empress Josephine\u2019s diadem. (Photo by Beata Zawrzel\/NurPhoto via Getty Images)NurPhoto\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Mus\u00e9e Picasso<\/p>\n<p>Place Mariejol, 06600 Antibes, France<\/p>\n<p>Situated on the edge of Antibes\u2019 old town, Mus\u00e9e Picasso was just a 10-minute drive from our hotel, H\u00f4tel Juana, a Small Luxury Hotels of the World property (which, with its Mediterranean exterior and colorful, patterned interior, was a feast for the eyes all on its own). The museum is home to much of Picasso\u2019s ceramic work\u2014I was particularly charmed by a wall of plates\u2014as well as paintings and sketches dedicated to Greek mythology.
