The most anticipated episode of My Kitchen Rules 2026<\/a> \u2014 Jane and Shane\u2019s Instant Restaurant \u2014 is only hours away, and it\u2019s safe to say fans are looking forward to some promised chaos<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jane and Shane<\/a> are the last team to cook in Round 1 of the home cooking reality competition. After being highly critical<\/a> of the other teams<\/a>, the food stylist and her partner have set some high expectations for themselves, and the other contestants <\/a>have admitted that they are not holding back in their critiques<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After controversial comments<\/a> about being a \u201ctaster, not an eater\u201d,<\/a> focusing on plating <\/a>aesthetic over food flavour, and claiming that the $100,000 prize money<\/a> wouldn\u2019t be \u201clife-changing\u201d for them, fans have also geared up for their Instant Restaurant, with many hoping that they will fail. <\/p>\n

\u201cI hope they fail. They are so rude and think they are above everyone else. I hope they get put in their place,\u201d one fan wrote online. <\/p>\n

However, the show\u2019s focus on the \u201cdrama<\/a>\u201d over cooking has become a gripe for many fans, as many \u201cdoubt [they\u2019ll] ever watch this again\u201d since it\u2019s now \u201cless about the food and more about the personalities\u201d. <\/p>\n

Other viewers have gone so far as to accuse the show of \u201cscripting\u201d the drama entirely. <\/p>\n

Speaking to WHO, Tiffany and Giancarlo revealed that they had a very similar reaction. <\/p>\n

Fans call My Kitchen Rules \u2018scripted\u2019 ahead of Jane and Shane\u2019s cook<\/p>\n

While the teasers for Jane and Shane\u2019s Instant Restaurant have promised a disaster, as pigeon heads and runny eggs flood the highlight reel, many fans are predicting that it\u2019s all for show.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey won\u2019t be eliminated as they want them for the drama and the pigeon heads and feet were probably used to make stock,\u201d one fan suggested online. \u201cJust the promos trying to make it look bad.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI reckon it\u2019s false advertising, they will get through,\u201d another agreed. \u201cMKR do this every year; pick a couple to stir the pot.\u201d<\/p>\n

My Kitchen Rules fans divided over Jane and Shane<\/p>\n

Given how divisive Jane and Shane<\/a> have been this season, a lot of fans are looking forward to not only seeing them cook, but also seeing if they can live up to the strong critiques that they\u2019ve had all season.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe highlights of their cook look disastrous,\u201d one viewer wrote, referencing the teaser for the episode posted online. \u201cJane looks so flustered, just how I thought it would go.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGosh I am looking forward to Monday. It\u2019s going be a sizzler,\u201d another agreed. \u201cChook heads with eyes open and chook feet? Is this for real?\u201d<\/p>\n

However, the anticipation for Jane and Shane\u2019s cook has also resulted in some comments that have gone too far, with many viewers calling for the \u201chate\u201d to stop. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhile many valid comments and observations are here, I am calling out the hate speech, especially against Jane and Shane,\u201d one fan wrote online. \u201cI cannot believe adults can be so hateful to people you have never met and have had a few minutes to judge them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although not everyone has agreed with those defending the stylish couple.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve not been particularly mean\u2026but they have been pretty judgmental and extremely snobbish towards contestants they have made it obvious they consider inferior,\u201d one viewer defended. <\/p>\n

Tiffany and Giancarlo expected drama from My Kitchen Rules, but not this<\/p>\n

Tiffany and Giancarlo are big fans of the show, which is why they didn\u2019t expect the focus to be more about the drama than the cooking.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know with My Kitchen Rules that you\u2019re going to be sat at the table with people from all different experiences, backgrounds, and personalities,\u201d Tiffany told WHO. \u201cIt\u2019s part of it, and that\u2019s what makes it exciting and rewarding, especially when you do a good job.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was surprised at the clash between everyone for sure, because I thought there would be a lot more compassion and empathy between the teams,\u201d Giancarlo added. \u201cThat was surprising to me that everyone was ready to call each other out and hike you up quite a bit because that\u2019s not our style. <\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, obviously we\u2019ve all seen MKR through the years, so we know there\u2019s drama. We just thought, I don\u2019t know, we just didn\u2019t expect it. We were still taken by surprise.\u201d <\/p>\n
