While a deal isn\u2019t closed, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/bradley-cooper\/\" id=\"auto-tag_bradley-cooper\" data-tag=\"bradley-cooper\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bradley Cooper<\/a> is in negotiations to star in the prequel Chung is directing and Robbie is starring. Robbie\u2019s production company LuckyChap is producing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSources say Cooper has been close with Robbie over the years and always wanted to work together, and this seemed the perfect opportunity. After a meeting with Chung, Cooper was on board.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe film is set to start shooting next year and in true\u00a0Ocean\u2019s\u00a0fashion, the plot is locked in the vault other then it being a prequel. The current screenplay is by Carrie Solomon and based on characters created by George Clayton Johnson &amp; Jack Golden Russell. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tCooper has strong ties at the studio where his current production deal is set up. He also has his <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2022\/11\/bradley-cooper-frank-bullitt-steven-spielberg-steve-mcqueen-1235168968\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1235168968\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bullitt movie<\/a> in development at Warner Bros that Steven Spielberg will direct with him starring.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tNext up for Cooper is his Searchlight dramedy Is This Thing On? which he is directing and starring in.
