Sofia Vergara is allegedly “disgusted” by claims her ex-husband Joe Manganiello made in his memoir. The duo had a whirlwind romance that quickly culminated in marriage. They tied the knot in November 2015, less than two years after they first met, but decided to call it quits in 2023. Three years later, the “Magic Mike” star has released a memoir that throws dirt on his ex-wife.

Source claims Sofia Vergara is ready to fight back after ex Joe Manganiello’s claims

A source told Star Magazine that Sofia Vergara is furious over how her ex-husband, Joe Manganiello, portrayed their marriage in his memoir, “Bloodlines.” The insider also claimed that the actress intends to respond to his allegations in her own way.

According to PEOPLE, Manganiello wrote that his marriage to the “Modern Family” star became “devoid of any emotionality whatsoever” while he was battling an undisclosed autoimmune disease. He also alleged that Vergara refused to hug him despite his pleas for affection.

“Sofía is absolutely stunned that Joe would accuse her of neglecting him after everything she did for him,” the source said. “She went through hell in that marriage trying to help him battle this illness. It ruled both of their lives and she stuck by him, even when it was just constant fighting for years.”

The insider further claimed that although the couple experienced significant difficulties during their marriage, particularly toward the end, Vergara is upset that Manganiello has revisited their private struggles years later in his memoir.

It said, “They did have a terrible time in the marriage at times, especially towards the end, but she’s disgusted that he’d bring it up all these years later to try and sell books. She really thought he was better than this, but if he wants to play dirty like this, he should expect the same back.”

The source also warned that Vergara is not “the sort of person you want to get in a fight with.” They added, “She does not play around.” According to the insider, the actress intends to share her side of the story “when the time is right.”
