The new cast includes Takuya Sat\u014d<\/a> as Akatsuki (pictured right in image above) and Hiyori K\u014dno<\/a> as Lian Lo (left above). Akatsuki is the emperor of the country of Sekis\u014d and Lian is his empress. \u00a9\u77f3\u7530\u30ea\u30f3\u30cd\u30fbIzumi\/KADOKAWA\/\u300c\u8309\u8389\u82b1\u5b98\u540f\u4f1d\u300d\u88fd\u4f5c\u59d4\u54e1\u4f1a <\/p>\n The anime will debut in January 2027 and will air on Tokyo MX<\/a>, MBS<\/a>, TV Aichi<\/a>, and BS11<\/a> in Japan.<\/p>\n The anime stars:<\/p>\n Takeshi Mori<\/a> (Vandread<\/a>, Gunsmith Cats<\/a>, Otaku no Video<\/a>) is the supervising director for the anime, while Y\u016bichi Nakazawa<\/a> is directing the anime at Maho Film<\/a>. T\u014dko Machida<\/a> (Lucky Star<\/a>, The IDOLM@STER<\/a>, My Master Has No Tail<\/a>) is in charge of series composition. Manami Inose<\/a> (Blue Miburo<\/a>) is designing the characters. Takur\u014d Iga<\/a> is composing the music.<\/p>\n Additional staff members include:<\/p>\n KANA-BOON<\/a> performs the opening theme song “Hana Hanashi” (Flower Talk).<\/p>\n The fantasy romance novels, inspired by Chinese history, center on the titular Matsurika, a court lady serving at the emperor’s inner palace, who is known for her good memory. One day, she receives a request to serve as a practice partner for the marriage meeting for the son a certain noble house. But when she arrives to meet this noble scion, it turns out to be none other than Emperor Hakuy\u014d himself. The emperor falls in love with her at first sight, but tells her to come to him once she passes the state’s scholar-official civil service exam.<\/p>\n Ishida published the first light novel in the series in July 2017, with illustrations by Izumi. The 19th and most recent volume shipped on October 15.<\/p>\n Takase launched<\/a> the manga adaptation of the novels in Akita Shoten<\/a>‘s Monthly Princess<\/a> magazine in August 2018. Akita Shoten published the manga’s 12th volume in October 2025.
