Post Malone has apologised to fans for the wait for his next album.<\/p>\n
\nThe Circles hitmaker has been busy preparing his follow-up to 2024\u2019s F-1 Trillion, which has been a mammoth undertaking.<\/p>\n
\nLast year, the rapper claimed he had “made probably 35 songs” for his next country album, but, this summer, he teased fans with a snippet of a new track that went back to his hip-hop roots.<\/p>\n
\nNow, he’s captioned a picture of himself sitting in front of a whiteboard showing how he is organising his material: “Seasons greetings nerds\u2026 Almost done with this sumb****!! I\u2019m sorry it\u2019s taking so goddamn long\u2026 I can\u2019t wait to share this piece of music with y\u2019all. We are so proud of what we\u2019ve made\u2026 a s***load of songs coming!!! I promise next time it won\u2019t take 3 years\u2026 I love you so very much. Remember you kick a**!!!!! (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nThe coloured system shows that some songs are further along than others.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking to Billboard before his Coachella set in 2025, he said of working with collaborators including Ernest, Hardy and Thomas Rhett in Nashville: \u201cWe just have fun. We just sit and f* talk and make songs. And so I\u2019m pretty excited for the new record already.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nWith regards to the bunch of songs he’s recorded, he said “it\u2019s just a matter of which one\u2019s rock, and which one\u2019s sock.”<\/p>\n
\nHe told the publication: “I sit there and listen to these songs, and I usually hate listening to my music, but listening to the band play, I get so excited.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking about how he incorporates all his different styles \u2013 also including rock and pop – into one seamless set, he said: \u201cYou put a twist on the instrumentation and the musicianship of it.<\/p>\n
\n“We have Lillie [Mae] playing the fiddle and Cheese [Chandler Walters] playing the steel [guitar] and incorporating that into the old songs and then transitioning into the new s\u2026 that\u2019s always been the thing about me, is it\u2019s all just f****** music.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe even pushed back his Big A** Tour with Jelly Roll by a few weeks to focus on getting the LP finished.<\/p>\n
