{"id":651797,"date":"2026-10-20T05:54:37","date_gmt":"2026-10-20T05:54:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/651797\/"},"modified":"2026-10-20T05:54:37","modified_gmt":"2026-10-20T05:54:37","slug":"new-nasal-spray-for-erectile-dysfunction-now-available-in-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/651797\/","title":{"rendered":"New Nasal Spray for Erectile Dysfunction Now Available in US"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Roxus (LTR Pharma Limited), a new nasal spray for <a href=\"https:\/\/emedicine.medscape.com\/article\/444220-overview\" class=\"cl_ref_article\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">erectile dysfunction<\/a>, is now available in the United States, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/roxus-ed-nasal-spray-now-available-in-the-us-peak-blood-levels-in-about-10-minutes-not-an-hour-302909282.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">press release<\/a> from Mavrox, a men&#8217;s health telemedicine platform.<\/p>\n<p>The spray contains <a href=\"https:\/\/reference.medscape.com\/drug\/vardenafil-342872\" class=\"cl_ref_drugs\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">vardenafil<\/a>, a drug used to treat erectile dysfunction, and uses the same nasal formulation as Spontan, LTR Pharma&#8217;s nasal spray available by prescription in Australia for the past 2 years, the release said.<\/p>\n<p>A peer-reviewed phase 1 study found that nasal vardenafil reached peak blood levels in a median of 10 minutes, compared with 45-60 minutes for tablets. Men aged 65 or older reached peak levels just as quickly, and the spray achieved peak levels with one quarter of the tablet dose.<\/p>\n<p>Roxus is available by prescription through Mavrox. Patients can complete an online health assessment at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mavrox.com\/roxus\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Mavrox.com\/Roxus<\/a> to be evaluated for a prescription or ask their healthcare provider about the treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Roxus is a compounded medication that has not been reviewed or approved by the FDA for safety or effectiveness, the release said.<\/p>\n<p>Roxus should not be used with nitrates or <a href=\"https:\/\/reference.medscape.com\/drug\/adempas-riociguat-999863\" class=\"cl_ref_drugs\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">riociguat<\/a>, and it should not be used by by people allergic to vardenafil. Patients should tell their healthcare provider about any heart, liver, or kidney conditions and all medications they take.<\/p>\n<p>Common side effects include <a href=\"https:\/\/emedicine.medscape.com\/article\/1048596-overview\" class=\"cl_ref_article\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">headache<\/a>, flushing, nasal congestion, runny nose, indigestion, and nasal discomfort.
