\n\tKate McKinnon<\/a> is set to join Stephen Colbert<\/a> for his annual Montclair Film benefit conversation, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe event, set to take place at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Dec. 5, will see the former Late Show host talk with the actress and writer about her comedic career across TV, film and middle-grade books.<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter breaking out with her Emmy-winning decade-long stint on Saturday Night Live, McKinnon starred in such films as Paul Feig\u2019s 2016 Ghostbusters reboot, Jay Roach\u2019s 2019 Fox News sexual harassment film Bombshell<\/a>, Greta Gerwig\u2019s Barbie, Danny Boyle\u2019s Yesterday, Susanna Fogel\u2019s The Spy Who Dumped Me, Lucia Aniello\u2019s Rough Night and Josh Gordon and Will Speck\u2019s Office Christmas Party.<\/p>\n

\n\tHer recent credits also include roles in The Roses, with Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman, and The Wrong Girls, with Kristen Stewart and Alia Shawkat. Her upcoming projects include Daina Oniunas-Pusi\u0107\u2019s Thumb, the third season of the Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Netflix\u2019s One Attempt Remaining, with John Cena and Jennifer Garner.<\/p>\n

\n\tMcKinnon is also the New York Times best-selling author of middle-grade book series The Millicent Quibb School of Etiquette for Young Ladies of Mad Science, which includes follow-up books Secrets of the Purple Pearl and The Jungle of Carabanana.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe are so grateful to Kate McKinnon for joining us for this special event,\u201d Montclair Film artistic director and co-head Tom Hall said in a statement. \u201cKate is one of our great comic performers and we look forward to a fantastic night when she joins Stephen Colbert for an hilarious evening of
conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTickets for the event will go on sale on Wednesday for Montclair Film and NJPAC members and on Friday for the general public. All proceeds from the evening will benefit Montclair Film, the New Jersey based non-profit arts organization with which Colbert has long been involved<\/a>, which runs the Montclair Film Festival, this year\u2019s installment of which goes through Oct. 25.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to the festival, Montclair Film owns and operates Montclair\u2019s art house theater The Clairidge and provides year-round film education, storytelling and community programs throughout New Jersey.<\/p>\n

\n\tPast participants in Colbert\u2019s Montclair conversations include Conan O\u2019Brien<\/a>, John Oliver<\/a>, J.J. Abrams<\/a>, Steve Carell<\/a>, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Meryl Streep<\/a> and Martin Scorsese.<\/p>\n
