{"id":652991,"date":"2026-10-21T09:16:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-21T09:16:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/652991\/"},"modified":"2026-10-21T09:16:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-21T09:16:09","slug":"israeli-forces-arrest-islamic-jihad-operative-working-as-bethlehem-taxi-driver-israel-jewish-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/652991\/","title":{"rendered":"Israeli forces arrest Islamic Jihad operative working as Bethlehem taxi driver &#8211; Israel &#038; Jewish News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                            (Oct. 21, 2026 \/ JNS)\n                    <\/p>\n<p>Israeli security forces arrested a suspected Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist operative in the Judea city of Bethlehem on Monday, according to a joint statement by the Israel Police, Israel Defense Forces and Israeli Security Agency (Shin Bet) on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The 48-year-old suspect allegedly helped rebuild the Iranian-backed terrorist group\u2019s infrastructure in the area, was involved in plots directed from abroad and transferred funds for terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect, who also worked as a taxi driver, was tracked by surveillance teams before undercover officers arrested him during a daytime operation.
