The R\u00e9my Cointreau-owned brand has teamed up with French plexiglass artist Pierre Brault on the new design.<\/p>\n
Brault crafted his design after a masterclass conducted by St-R\u00e9my master blender C\u00e9cile Roudaut.<\/p>\n
Using his signature style of blending shapes, light and colours, Brault sought to capture the heritage, craftsmanship and terroir behind the French brandy.<\/p>\n
\u201cWorking with St-R\u00e9my has been a true source of inspiration, not only for the values we share around respect for nature and time, but also through my encounter with C\u00e9cile Roudaut,\u201d said Brault.<\/p>\n
\u201cHer meticulous art of blending, where precision and intuition meet, resonates deeply with my own approach. What struck me most is St-R\u00e9my\u2019s genuine connection to the land, and the way every blend is guided by respect for the living world.\u201d<\/p>\n
The plexiglass artwork \u2013 reminiscent of a sundial \u2013 was inspired by St-R\u00e9my\u2019s sunlit French vineyards.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe sun became the guiding theme of my creation,\u201d Brault explained. \u201cUsing recycled plexiglass to capture its light, I sought to design a work that evolves with the day: a living metaphor for what St-R\u00e9my has been doing for 140 years: elevating nature\u2019s gifts with patience and mastery.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the use of recycled plexiglass is said to reflect St-R\u00e9my\u2019s commitment to sustainability.<\/p>\n
The Cognac itself has notes of wood and vanilla, with flavours of gingerbread, candied apricots, dates, figs, and nuts.<\/p>\n
The 140th-anniversary release is the latest in a series of annual artist collaborations for St-R\u00e9my.<\/p>\n
According to the brand, last year\u2019s creation with French visual artist Tomalater helped St-R\u00e9my XO deliver the strongest growth of any brandy outside Cognac over Christmas in the UK. The product\u2019s volume sales rose by 16.2%, and value increased by 13.7%, outperforming the brandy category and gaining share, based on Nielsen RMS Great Britain data for the 12 weeks to 3 January 2026.<\/p>\n
Eliza Stevenson, senior brand manager at R\u00e9my Martin UK, added: \u201cChristmas is the most competitive time of year for brandy, and standing out on shelf is essential.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur artist limited edition collections catch the attention of shoppers and consistently help us grow market share.\u201d<\/p>\n
The new design will be boosted by a social media campaign, off-trade activation and point-of-sale materials.<\/p>\n
The 140th Anniversary Artist Limited Edition is available in the UK for \u00a325 (US$33), with more than 138,000 bottles on the market globally.<\/p>\n
