Apple Corps Ltd. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beatlesstory.com\/news\/liverpool-2028\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">announced<\/a> that, in 2028, The Beatles Story will move from Liverpool\u2019s Albert Dock to a brand-new site in St Johns Shopping Centre.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new 100,000 square foot site will more than quadruple the attraction\u2019s current footprint. Additionally, St Johns Beacon will house a Yellow Submarine themed viewing experience over the city of Liverpool.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\tVideos by American Songwriter\t\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The move coincides with Apple Corps\u2019 takeover of the attraction. With the company that oversees The Beatles\u2019 creative and business interests behind it, The Beatles Story will be the first official fan experience to be operated in Liverpool. <\/p>\n<p>Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr Speak Out About New Beatles Attraction<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI find it incredible and humbling that people are still interested in our story and it\u2019s very exciting to me that The Beatles Story and The Beacon are being transformed in such an exciting way in the heart of Liverpool city,\u201d McCartney said. \u202f\u201dI love Liverpool. It\u2019s part of who I am, it\u2019s part of who The Beatles are.\u201d\u202f<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIf you\u2019d told us this was going to happen when we were hanging out and getting started we\u2019d never have believed it,\u201d he continued.\u202f\u201dThe extraordinary plans the Apple Corps team have shown me for The Beatles Story take me right back to that journey, from Liverpool to the world and back home again. It couldn\u2019t have happened without Liverpool. I can\u2019t wait for people to be able to step into our story and share the experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Starr agreed, noting, \u201cWhen we grew up in the Dingle, we never thought we\u2019d be on a plane, much less all the places this long, long road took us.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI was blessed from the moment I first held a drum at 13 years old. From then on it\u2019s been my dream to be a drummer,\u201d he said. \u201cI remember it all so well, on Saturdays Roy (Trafford) and I would spend many great hours at the Bodega and then the Cavern. I have such great memories of the first band I was in\u2014me, Eddie, and Roy were all working in the factory when we started a skiffle group. Who would have thought where the story went from there\u2014leading to me joining the Beatles.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLiverpool was, and still is, music city. And now we are expanding the The Beatles Story Experience in Liverpool\u2014how far out,\u201d Starr added. \u201cThe beat goes on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What to Know About the New Beatles Attraction<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The attraction will use immersive technology, original artifacts, and reconstructed sets to bring The Beatles\u2019 extraordinary story to life. It will take fans from the streets of Liverpool to the heights of Beatlemania. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many of the immersive locations will be created using sets and props from <a href=\"https:\/\/americansongwriter.com\/dont-do-this-you-said-you-wouldnt-paul-mccartney-shares-his-one-complaint-about-the-upcoming-beatles-biopics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Sam Mendes\u2019 upcoming biopics<\/a>, The Beatles: A\u00a0Four-Film Cinematic Event.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, the new Yellow Submarine-themed experience will give fans a panoramic, 360-degree view of Liverpool. While it will operate as a standalone attraction, fans will be able to bundle both experiences.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every ticket sold to The Beatles Story will contribute to the The Apple Corps Liverpool Trust. The charitable initiative was established to provide financial support and opportunities for emerging Liverpool artists and local cultural endeavors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI also love that proceeds from every ticket will go back to support new Liverpool artists,\u201d Starr said. \u201cIt is great to be part of this. Deep down I am still a scouser.
