Noel Gallagher<\/a> has appeared as a guest on the final series of\u00a0Chicken Shop Date, where he discussed the\u00a0Oasis<\/a> reunion, advice on working with a sibling, and more. Watch below.<\/p>\n

The guitarist, singer and songwriter joined Amelia Dimoldenberg at Sam\u2019s Chicken in Harlesden, London, where he was quizzed on various subjects.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow long do you think you should wait before reviving something once it\u2019s ended?\u201d the host asked. In response, Noel said, \u201c16 years\u201d, referring to the gap between Oasis\u2019 split and their 2025 reunion tour<\/a>. \u201cWhen you revive [Chicken Shop Date], get me back on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dimoldenberg fired back: \u201cWell, you might not be around.\u201d Noel replied: \u201cIn 16 years? What are you trying to say? That\u2019s not very nice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later, Gallagher was pressed on what makes a comeback feel \u201cnatural and not desperate\u201d. He responded: \u201cYou\u2019ve just got to hope that you can do whatever it is you\u2019re trying to do as well as you once did it. And in the case of Oasis, it became apparent after maybe a week in rehearsals that it was gonna be as good, if not better, than it ever was.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for his advice for working alongside a brother or sister, he said: \u201cI think you\u2019ve got to be prepared just to compromise, which is something I\u2019m not ordinarily very good at. But I think it gets better as you get older.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gallagher teased that he has \u201ctonnes of unreleased material\u201d, too, but did not say whether this was for Oasis.<\/p>\n

The musician revealed how his perception of Oasis\u2019 Live \u201925 closer \u2018Champagne Supernova\u2019 had changed over the years: \u201cIt was nonsensical in the \u201990s, and then it\u2019s taken on more meaning for a new generation. I mean, I\u2019ve still no idea what \u2018Slowly walking down the hall, faster than a cannonball\u2018 means. I think it\u2019s a drug reference.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier, Gallagher hit out at vegetarians and vegans (\u201cFuck those guys\u201d), responded to rumours that he doesn\u2019t wear underwear on stage, described himself as a \u201clow-key\u201d rock star, and discussed what keeps him humble.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe played a gig in S\u00e3o Paulo to 90,000 people on a Sunday night,\u201d he said. \u201cWe arrived home on a Tuesday morning, and I came down to find my two lads both arguing over what was left in a box of Coco Pops. And I thought to myself, \u201948 hours ago I was on stage in S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 the world was in my hands, and now I\u2019m arguing with two bellends about Coco Pops\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gallagher told Dimoldenberg about his relationship with previous Chicken Shop Date guest Paul McCartney<\/a> (\u201cHe calls me Nolo\u201d), talked about his beloved Manchester City\u2019s controversial victory over Manchester United last month, and revealed he once \u201cbought a life-size cardboard cutout\u201d of Matthew McConaughey.<\/p>\n

Later in the lunch date, the musician discussed being a Gemini and \u201ca superior being\u201d, and spoke about where the name High Flying Birds<\/a> came from.<\/p>\n

Gallagher\u2019s appearance on Chicken Shop Date<\/a> follows recent interviews with Jorja Smith<\/a> and Role Model<\/a> on the series. Other previous big-name guests include Dave<\/a>,\u00a0Billie Eilish<\/a>,\u00a0Central Cee<\/a>,\u00a0Andrew Garfield<\/a>,\u00a0Cher<\/a>,\u00a0Little Simz<\/a>,\u00a0Louis Theroux<\/a> and Jack Harlow<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Oasis will embark on their huge Live \u201927 tour next year<\/a>. The forthcoming sold-out run<\/a> was expanded due to \u201cphenomenal demand\u201d<\/a> last month, and includes six concerts at Knebworth and an 11-night residency at Manchester\u2019s Etihad Stadium.<\/p>\n

Noel Gallagher has promised that the shows will be \u201cso much better\u201d than the 2025 comeback dates<\/a>. He has also revealed that the band had settled on the idea of another tour early into last year\u2019s trek after seeing the massive response<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fans have since been talking about\u00a0the possibility of new material from Oasis<\/a>\u00a0and sharing\u00a0their thoughts on how the setlist could change<\/a> from 2025. Elsewhere, frontman Liam Gallagher said he \u201ccan\u2019t see us touring again unless we have new music\u201d<\/a>. He previously explained that Live \u201927 \u201cisn\u2019t a farewell tour but it still could be our last\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The new documentary film Don\u2019t Look Back In Anger<\/a> was released in cinemas on September 9, and is now streaming on Disney+<\/a>. In a\u00a0four-and-a-half-star review<\/a>,\u00a0NME\u00a0said the movie was \u201cmasterfully done, with moments of irreverence and intense passion burning throughout\u201d.<\/p>\n

NME\u00a0spoke to\u00a0Peaky Blinders\u00a0creator Steven Knight<\/a>\u00a0about his work on the big-screen project. \u201cThe question I wanted to answer with this film was: why, after 16 years with no promotion and no marketing, is this music bigger than it\u2019s ever been?\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The directors of the film, Will Southern and Dylan Lovelace, also talked to\u00a0NME<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s shot for spectacle and to put you right in the middle of the crowd,\u201d Southern told us. \u201cIf people can watch it on the biggest screen possible, as loud as the cinema is prepared to play it, then they\u2019re going to have a good time!\u201d<\/p>\n
