The “Fantasia Bunko<\/a> Grand Thanksgiving Festival 2026 Online” event on Sunday revealed that a third anime season for Kei Sazane<\/a> and Ao Nekonabe<\/a>‘s Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World<\/a> (Kimi to Boku no Saigo no Senj\u014d, Arui wa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen<\/a>) light novel series is in the works, and also revealed a teaser visual and the returning cast and staff members from the second season.<\/p>\n

The returning cast members are:<\/p>\n

Yuki Inaba<\/a> returns to direct the new season at Studio Palette<\/a> and SILVER LINK.<\/a>, and is also in charge of series scripts. Kaori Yoshikawa<\/a> is again designing the characters.<\/p>\n

The anime’s first season premiered<\/a> in October 2020. Funimation<\/a> streamed<\/a> the anime as it aired in Japan, and it also streamed an English dub<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The second season aired the first four episodes in July 2024, and then delayed<\/a> episodes from its fifth episode onward in August 2024 “to maintain the quality” of the release. The season resumed<\/a> airing from the first episode in April 2025. The second season was originally slated<\/a> to air in 2023 but was delayed<\/a> to July<\/a> 2024. Crunchyroll<\/a> streamed<\/a> the season as it aired, and it is also streaming an English dub<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Yen Press<\/a> is publishing<\/a> the light novels and their manga adaptation in English, and it describes the story:\n<\/p>\n

Kadokawa<\/a> began publishing the novels in print in Japan in May 2017, and there are currently 16 volumes in print. Okama<\/a> launched<\/a> the manga adaptation in Hakusensha<\/a>‘s Young Animal<\/a> magazine in May 2018, and the manga has a total of seven volumes. The Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World: Secret File<\/a> spinoff light novel series currently has three volumes in print.<\/p>\n
