Travel disruptions linked to regional disturbances are believed to have caused the postponement, though other ACL matches remain scheduled.<\/p>\n

The conflict between Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels has led to multiple sporting and business events being cancelled or delayed.<\/p>\n

Beyond football, the Six Kings tennis tournament, Riyadh Fashion Week and the Future Investment Initiative conference have all been postponed amid attacks on Riyadh.<\/p>\n

The Asian Football Confederation said “the new match date and kick off time will be confirmed and communicated in due course”.<\/p>\n

The Asian Champions League (ACL) clash between Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr and Dubai club Al Wasl has been postponed.<\/p>\n

The ACL Elite match was originally scheduled to take place at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh on Monday.<\/p>\n

However, the match has been postponed to a later date.<\/p>\n

The Asian Football Confederation stated that \u201cthe new match date and kick off time will be confirmed and communicated in due course\u201d.<\/p>\n

While no official reason for the postponement was provided, travel issues related to regional disturbances are believed to be a factor.<\/p>\n

However, other Asian Champions League matches are scheduled to go ahead as planned.<\/p>\n

Saudi Arabia club Al Qadsiah<\/a> are scheduled to host Qatari side Al Sadd at the Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam.<\/p>\n

Also, high-flying UAE side Al Ain are set to host Iranian team Tractor FC at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain on Monday.<\/p>\n

Matches and events in Saudi Arabia have been affected amid intense fighting<\/a> between the kingdom and Yemen\u2019s Iran-backed Houthi rebels.<\/p>\n

A Saudi Pro League match<\/a> between Al Nassr and Asian champions Al Ahli was postponed. The Six Kings<\/a> tennis tournament featuring the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev in Saudi Arabia was postponed due to attacks on Riyadh.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, the Riyadh Fashion Week and Future Investment Initiative<\/a> conference were also postponed. <\/p>\n

Dakar Rally moves out of Saudi Arabia<\/p>\n

The \u200b2027 \u200bedition \u200bof \u2060the \u2060Dakar Rally \u200bhas been moved \u2060out of Saudi Arabia due \u2060to security concerns, \u200borganisers \u2060Amaury \u200cSport \u200bOrganisation said on Sunday.<\/p>\n

“Dakar Saudi Arabia 2027, scheduled from January 1 to 15, 2027, will not be held in the kingdom, following recent developments in the region,” organisers said in a statement.<\/p>\n

“This decision is exceptional and one-off and was taken in close coordination with the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF), and with the support of the FIA and the FIM.”<\/p>\n
