An investigative resource published on the UK watchdog GnasherJew website has exposed approximately 40 medical professionals across the UK\u2019s National Health Service (NHS)<\/a> who have used their public social media platforms to disseminate antisemitic rhetoric, propagate conspiracy theories, and celebrate violence against civilians.<\/p>\n

GnasherJew is a team of Jewish online investigators who identify, expose, and report on antisemitism<\/a>, Holocaust denial, and extremism. The watchdog group’s page of Antisemitic Healthcare Professionals states, \u201cOver recent years, we have exposed doctors, healthcare providers, and other medical professionals for posting antisemitic content on social media, supporting terrorism, and discriminating against Jewish people.\u201d<\/p>\n

The dossiers listed on the page detail extensive online activity by practicing doctors, consultants, surgeons, and therapists.<\/p>\n

Among the cases documented on the page is Dr. Mazin Fageir, a senior trauma and orthopedic surgeon at the Royal Free Hospital in London<\/a>.<\/p>\n

GnasherJew\u2019s compiled dossier on him included screenshots of his X\/Twitter posts showing that he shared a cartoon depicting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu<\/a> wearing an armband with a Star of David and pushing a coffin draped in a Palestinian flag into an Auschwitz concentration camp oven beneath the phrase “ARBEIT MACHT FREI,” which translates from German to \u201cwork sets you free\u201d and was the sign on the gate at the front of the camp.<\/p>\n

In another post from May 2021, during Israel\u2019s war in Gaza known as Operation Guardian of the Walls, Dr. Fageir replied to a post reporting a rocket striking a civilian home in Givatayim, saying, \u201cMay you live under rocket fire forever, amen,\u201d and adding that Israeli citizens would be \u201cwiped out one day.\u201d<\/p>\n

The page also includes a dossier on Dr. Nizar Ali Mhani, an NHS consultant orthodontist and Cardiff University honorary clinical lecturer.<\/p>\n

In the aftermath of the October 7 attacks, Dr. Mhani posted material comparing the actions of Hamas to the Jewish fighters of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, writing, \u201cWould anyone have the audacity or idiocy to ever suggest that the brave Jews who resisted the Warsaw Ghetto genocide used civilians as human shields because they used bunkers and tunnels?\u201d<\/p>\n

Another case involves Dr. Asaad Nemer Shamallakh, an anesthetist practicing within the Swansea Bay University Health Board.<\/p>\n

Following the outbreak of the war, Dr. Shamallakh published a Facebook post on October 8, 2023, mourning family members, including his uncle and multiple children and women, who he wrote were killed in a missile strike. Writing, \u201cYes, the Zionist succeeded in gouging out our eyes with them, but he ignited fire and a hell in our souls that will not calm down until we are victorious, take revenge and regain our freedom and our homeland,\u201d he added that after initial grief, \u201cinfants, girls and women from the Shamallakh family were the victims of the pigs today… and then you ask why we hate them and fight them with our nails and teeth? Yes, tears fell profusely, and hearts were broken, but we soon returned to the battlefield.\u201d<\/p>\n

In another October 8, 2023 post, set against a red background, Dr. Shamallakh wrote: \u201cI swear that the battles of Badr, Uhud and Khandaq, militarily speaking, are a drop in the ocean of the Palestinian battle now. You are the Companions of the Prophet.\u201d<\/p>\n

In another post that day, Dr. Shamallakh shared a graphic on Facebook that featured a rocket and star background with the caption, \u201cLook…. watch… what does the Palestinian do .\u201d<\/p>\n

The dossiers on the page capture broader trends among the identified practitioners, ranging from the propagation of 9\/11 conspiracy theories and Holocaust inversion to the open dismissal of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism.<\/p>\n

GMC took ‘little to no action’ on reports, GnasherJew tells ‘Post’<\/p>\n

GnasherJew said in a statement to The Jerusalem Post that, \u201cThe GMC has taken little to no action on our reports, and its reported 19% regulatory action rate in antisemitism cases does nothing to reassure us. In our opinion, this failure to act tolerates and encourages antisemitism rather than confronting it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the cases of Dr. Nizar Ali Mhani, Dr. Mazin Fageir and Dr. Asaad Nemer Shamallakh, no action appears to have been taken despite the material documented in our investigations, which includes gross antisemitism, some at neo-Nazi levels, and some support for terrorism. Jewish patients deserve to feel safe in the British Healthcare system; instead, the GMC appears to be playing Russian Roulette with their safety,\u201d GnasherJew told the\u00a0Post.<\/p>\n

A General Medical Council (GMC) spokesperson said, \u201cWe are very clear that antisemitism is completely unacceptable. Doctors and patients should have confidence that if a concern is raised with the GMC, it will be dealt with appropriately. We can and will investigate serious concerns that suggest patient safety or the public\u2019s confidence in doctors may be at risk. Where complaints regarding antisemitism have been raised with us, approximately 19.5% of doctors have faced regulatory action. This includes two doctors who have been erased from the medical register, one who received a suspension, and two who were issued warnings.\u201d<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the Royal Free London said, \u201cOur priority is to ensure that everyone in our care, and everyone who works for us, feels safe, respected and valued, regardless of their background or beliefs. The Royal Free London should be a place where everyone is treated equally, with fairness, care, compassion and kindness. We expect that everybody who works here ensures that any content they publish online or elsewhere is consistent with the trust\u2019s values and standards.\u201d<\/p>\n

These revelations come amid a widening scrutiny over allegations of antisemitism within Britain\u2019s healthcare sector. Further light was cast on the issue by the Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) in its recent documentary, Malignant: Antisemitism in the NHS, which compiled harrowing testimonies from Jewish patients and medical personnel detailing direct hostility within hospitals.<\/p>\n

Among the incidents featured in the documentary is an account by Shelley Lipman, a registered nurse in Cambridge, who discovered a colleague performing a Nazi salute next to a patient\u2019s bed after discussing her Jewish identity. The film also documented testimony from Shaul Freeman, a patient in Sheffield who alleged that a consultant surgeon made antisemitic remarks\u2014including claiming that Jews shoot children \u201cfor fun\u201d\u2014while actively performing surgery to remove a tumor from his forehead.<\/p>\n

Accompanying polling published alongside the documentary revealed that over four in ten British Jews who have used NHS services since October 7, 2023, took active steps to conceal their Jewish identity.<\/p>\n

The Post contacted the General Dental Council (GDC), but Swansea Bay University Health Board did not respond to an email request for comment by publication time.<\/p>\n
