“I’m not gonna try to be the old Teddi, but I’m gonna try to be the new and improved Teddi,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/a> alum, 45, shared in a series of emotional videos posted to her Instagram stories<\/a> on Oct. 26.<\/p>\n “This is how I wake up every morning. That’s my hand shaking,” Mellencamp said over visibly unsteady video, where she showed her pill organizer. “I have a little bit of this shake, and I have not been making my bed. All of this is going to change today. I mean, not the hand shaking part, but I’m going to make my bed, have my medication. And I’ve already got workout clothes on because I’m going to try to start to change my life today.”<\/p>\n Teddi Mellencamp showed her daily medication and revealed she struggles with hand tremors Mellencamp was first diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma<\/a>, the deadliest form of skin cancer, in 2022. After surgeries, Mellencamp shared that it had metastasized to her brain and lungs<\/a> in April 2025. She underwent brain surgery<\/a> to remove the four tumors and has been undergoing regular immunotherapy treatments since.<\/p>\n The fitness enthusiast and founder of the lifestyle coaching service All In wrote that she was “trusting that moving my body consistently will help both my mind and my body heal.” That’s why she was “on the treadmill for the first time in over a year.” Then she shared the “next hurdle”: She couldn’t recall her login and password for her treadmill screen.<\/p>\n “I’m not good with numbers. I can’t write. It’s hard for me to see,” Mellencamp shared, her voice trembling. “All post-having-my-brain surgeries. That being said, I don’t want to keep feeling sorry for myself because that is what’s happening, and then I quit. So, I just want to feel okay being back in my skin again.”<\/p>\n Teddi Mellencamp shared that she’s embarking on a new wellness journey Mellencamp said she is embarking on a new journey “knowing I’m a completely different person” rather than focusing on weighing 38 lbs. more than before she got sick.<\/p>\n Her journey, she said, is “not about the number on the scale. It’s about the fact that I’ve been on steroids, immunotherapy, I’ve had brain surgeries, and this is a choice I am making to feel better.”<\/p>\n She continued filming despite tearing up, pausing to say, “I cringe when I see people holding their cameras while they’re crying.”<\/p>\n She clarified: “This is more gratitude, the amount of clients that have already messaged me and said like, ‘Let’s go,’ and just that feeling of support around you, telling you that you can do it, that you’re worth it. And that it might take time and it may look different and it may feel different, is huge.”<\/p>\n Teddi Mellencamp shared the changes to her appearance amid cancer treatment “I’m happy I have my team. Let’s hope I can get past day one, guys,” Mellencamp shared.
