{"id":659063,"date":"2026-10-28T00:00:17","date_gmt":"2026-10-28T00:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/659063\/"},"modified":"2026-10-28T00:00:17","modified_gmt":"2026-10-28T00:00:17","slug":"a-mesmerizing-kinetic-sculpture-of-ducks-in-flight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/659063\/","title":{"rendered":"A Mesmerizing Kinetic Sculpture of Ducks in Flight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p id=\"541445_1471\" data-ic-marker=\"c61878_6797\">This &#8220;Flock of Ducks&#8221; motorized sculpture is by German artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scharstein.de\/\" style=\"background-color: transparent; font-size: 1.1em;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Felix Scharstein<\/a>. &#8220;Three spirals are interlocked and rotate synchronously,&#8221; Scharstein writes. &#8220;The ducks at the ends of the spirals fly playfully in circles and around each other.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p id=\"868047_4242\" data-ic-marker=\"46b4bb_1362\">The sculpture is made of aluminum and gold-plated brass. Scharstein created the first one in 2022; now, for an exhibition of his work at the Deutsches Museum in Munich, he&#8217;s created a larger version:<\/p>\n<p id=\"7201ef_6224\" data-ic-marker=\"a12241_4306\">Scharstein&#8217;s exhibition, called &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.deutsches-museum.de\/museum\/aktuell\/freie-maschinen\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Free Machines<\/a>,&#8221; is currently running thru November 29th.
