\n\tJohn Goodman<\/a> has joined \u201cThe Beast in Me<\/a>\u201d Season 2 at Netflix<\/a>, Variety has learned. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe second season of the series was announced in September<\/a>, with Season 1 star Claire Danes set to return as Aggie Wiggs. Goodman will play Jack, Aggie\u2019s father. Exact plot details for Season 2 are currently under wraps. <\/p>\n

\n\tGoodman is an 11-time Emmy nominee, including seven nods for his starring role in the hit sitcom \u201cRoseanne.\u201d He won the award for outstanding guest actor in a drama in 2007 for \u201cStudio 60 on the Sunset Strip.\u201d He recently reprised his role as Dan Conner for the revival of \u201cRoseanne,\u201d which was subsequently renamed \u201cThe Conners\u201d and aired for seven more seasons. Goodman is also known for roles in shows like \u201cThe Righteous Gemstones\u201d at HBO and \u201cDamages\u201d at FX. In film, Goodman has collaborated with the Coen brothers on numerous features like \u201cRaising Arizona,\u201d \u201cBarton Fink,\u201d \u201cThe Big Lebowski,\u201d and \u201cO Brother, Where Art Thou?\u201d and has appeared in films like \u201cDigger,\u201d \u201cArgo,\u201d and \u201cFlight.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tHe is repped by Gersh and Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Beast in Me\u201d was originally announced as a limited series<\/a> when it was picked up in 2024. It also campaigned as a limited series at this year\u2019s Emmy Awards, for which Season 1 star Matthew Rhys won the award<\/a> for outstanding lead actor in a limited or anthology series. The series also won the Emmy for outstanding music composition for a limited or anthology series, movie or special (original dramatic score).<\/p>\n

\n\tBut in the tradition of \u201cBig Little Lies\u201d and other \u201climited series\u201d before it, Netflix and \u201cThe Beast in Me\u201d team began exploring the possibility of a second season and opened a writers\u2019 room earlier this year.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Beast in Me\u201d Season 1 showrunner Howard Gordon will serve as co-showrunner on Season 2 alongside Season 1 executive producer Daniel Pearle. Gabe Rotter is the creator and an executive producer of \u201cThe Beast in Me.\u201d Danes will again executive produce in addition to starring. Antonio Campos, Caroline Baron, Amy Lippman, Conan O\u2019Brien, David Kissinger, Jeff Ross, Claire Danes and Jodie Foster also executive produce.
