{"id":661857,"date":"2026-10-30T16:46:13","date_gmt":"2026-10-30T16:46:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/661857\/"},"modified":"2026-10-30T16:46:13","modified_gmt":"2026-10-30T16:46:13","slug":"radio-kerry-journalist-nominated-for-national-mental-health-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/661857\/","title":{"rendered":"Radio Kerry journalist nominated for national mental health awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Radio Kerry journalist has been nominated in two categories of the national mental health media awards.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shine.ie\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shine Mental Health Awards<\/a> recognise excellence in media coverage of mental health issues.<\/p>\n<p>Siobhan Brosnan has been shortlisted in the Youth Mental Health category supported by Spunout, for their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiokerry.ie\/index.php\/podcasts\/talkabout\/youth-voice-series-neurodivergence-455128\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Youth Voice Series episode on neurodivergence<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Siobhan is also in the running in the Broadcasting-long form category, for her documentary \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiokerry.ie\/podcasts\/documentary\/the-funny-bone-doesnt-break-494536\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Funny Bone Doesn\u2019t Break<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Kerryman journalist Stephan Fernane has been nominated for the print &amp; online \u2013 local award, while Kerry native Barry Lenihan is shortlisted in the Broadcasting \u2013 Short form category for \u201cDr Sharma\u2019s Story.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The awards take place in the InterContinental Hotel in Dublin on December 2nd.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A Radio Kerry journalist has been nominated in two categories of the national mental health media awards.
