It’s Halloween time, and the BBC has unveiled a spooky treat as it has released a first-look clip from The Witch Farm. And, in even better news, the broadcaster has confirmed when the new horror will premiere!<\/p>\n

The series<\/a> is set in 1989, with the drama following couple Bill (Michael Socha) and Liz (Gabrielle Creevy) as they move from London to Brecon Beacons in South Wales with their teenage son Jonathan (Lewin Lloyd).<\/p>\n

Now living in a remote farmhouse, the family initially love their new life as “isolation feels like freedom”, but they soon get some nasty surprises as a strange figure begins to haunt their everyday lives.<\/p>\n

Written by Danny Robins, the four-part series<\/a> will premiere on BBC One at 9pm on Sunday 22 November, with the second part airing at the same time the following night. The remaining two instalments will come the week after, on 29 and 30 November.<\/p>\n

If you simply can’t wait that long for all four parts, then the first two will be available to stream<\/a> on BBC iPlayer at 6am on 22 November. The final pair of episodes will then drop at the same time the following Sunday.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, we have a brand-new teaser clip, which showcases some of the “unsettling” scares that the family will get as they face the “inexplicable” wrath of nature in their new surroundings.<\/p>\n

Naturally, the drama will have an effect on the family unit, with the “steady escalation of the chillingly uncanny” – which includes unexplained disturbances and an unsettling sense that they are not alone – driving a wedge between Bill and Liz.<\/p>\n

As they begin to investigate, “the house draws them deeper into a history that refuses to stay buried”, with both the land and their marriage yielding secrets. At a crossroads, the situation will test “the limits of trust, belief and what they’re willing to deny in order to survive”.<\/p>\n

In addition to the aforementioned trio, the cast for the series includes Sian Gibson, Robert Pugh, Jeremy Swift, Edward Holcroft, Suzanne Packer and Roger Evans. Robins has written all four episodes, while Stacey Gregg is the director.<\/p>\n

The Witch Farm premieres on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from Sunday 22 November.<\/p>\n
