\n\tMichael Douglas<\/a> is sharing a rare update on Jack Nicholson<\/a>, who has largely remained out of the spotlight in recent years. <\/p>\n

\n\tDuring an appearance to promote his memoir<\/a> One Helluva Ride in Swansea, the Basic Instinct actor was asked about his relationship with Nicholson.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI would have liked to have acted with Jack,\u201d Douglas said, per The Independent<\/a>. \u201cHe\u2019s not working any more. He\u2019s well. He has disappeared. I know that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe added, \u201cI still see him, but he is fine. He is up there by his house and walking around in his slippers. It happens. He deserves it. I understand. He is a few years older than me, but I understand.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tDouglas is 82, and Nicholson is 89. The two actors only professionally collaborated on 1975\u2019s One Flew Over the Cuckoo\u2019s Nest, which Douglas produced and Nicholson starred in. <\/p>\n

\n\tNicholson\u2019s most recent movie, How Do You Know, came out in 2010 and also starred Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson.<\/p>\n

\n\tOne of Nicholson\u2019s last public appearances was in February 2025 at the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special. A month before that, his daughter, Lorraine Nicholson, shared a photo<\/a> with her father on Instagram. <\/p>\n

\n\tAlso through Lorraine\u2019s social media, she shared<\/a> a photo of the three-time Oscar winner on her Instagram Story in April to commemorate his 89th birthday. <\/p>\n

\n\tDouglas\u2019 press tour for his memoir has been headline-making. He revealed<\/a> in a bombshell excerpt from One Helluva Ride that he and Kathleen Turner had a secret romantic relationship while filming 1984\u2019s Romancing the Stone<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tResponding to Douglas\u2019 admission, the actress told People<\/a>, \u201cGood heavens what a fuss about something 40 years ago!
